Mary attended the Hartford Art School of the University of Hartford, Bloomfield, CT, where she majored in painting with a minor in graphics, receiving a five-year Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with honors. Mary works in oil on canvas.
In 2005 and 2008, she attended the Southwest Stone Carving Workshop in Jemez Springs, NM, and found a new medium of expression in limestone, alabaster and marble while working with nationally known sculptors, Rollie Grandbois, Cliff Fragua, Jon DeCelles, Tim Nicola, T. Barney and others.
Mary’s work has been seen in Southwest Art, Art of the West and Cowboys and Indians magazines.
Mary is a member of Las Cruces Arts Association and Friday Painters in Las Cruces, NM. She and her husband, David and their two cats, Jerome and Elvira, divide their time between Coventry, Connecticut and Las Cruces, New Mexico.
